Kahla Martin and Ben Brown were married July 19th at Danforth Chapel on KU campus. The reception followed at the Carnegie Building in Lawrence. Kahla is the daughter of Kelly and Allison Martin of Lawrence. Ben is the son of Paul and Debra Brown of Overland Park. Kahla graduated from KU with a degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She is employed at Oskaloosa Elementary as a 4th grade teacher.Ben graduated from Emporia State with degrees in Ceramics and Sculpture. He is employed in the Ceramics Lab at Johnson County Community College. Kahla’s attendants were her sister, Aftan Jameson, her brother, Taylor Martin, and friends Courtney Nichols and Kristin Burhenn. Ben’s attendants were his brothers, David Brown, Jake Brown, and Pete Brown, and friend Paul Woods. The couple resides in Lawrence.
