Ken & Marilyn Hubbard, rural Baldwin, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary, Sunday, Nov. 2nd, 2014.
Ken & Marilyn were married Nov. 2nd, 1974 at Washington Creek Church of the Brethren, Lawrence, KS.
Ken was a bachelor dairyman, 4-H leader, Extension Council past president, award winner in Douglas Co. Soil Conservation.
Marilyn, a widow of eight years, was teaching elementary music in Lawrence when they met at a 4-H meeting. Once Ken spotted the beautiful widow there was no turning back!
They share four children, Barbara Hougland, husband Fred, Skiatook, OK, David Ausherman, wife Jill, Colleyville, TX, Linda Swanson, husband Scott, Baldwin and Bruce Ausherman, wife Shelley, Baldwin, KS. They are blessed with 10 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren.
Reception will be held Nov. 2nd, 2p-4p at Worden United Methodist Church, Baldwin City. The couple request your presence, but no gifts.
