Jessica Pierson and Jen Humphrey were legally married on December 19, 2013 in Sidney, IA with Judge Dennis James officiating. Jen is the daughter of Steve Humphrey and the late Janice Humphrey of Linn, MO. Jessica
is the daughter of Judy Pierson and the late John Pierson of Lawrence. The ceremony was attended by Steve Humphrey, Judy Pierson, Herbie Weidensaul, Dalton Pierson and Mikey and Amanda Humphrey.
Jen graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in journalism in 1996 and Master of Fine Arts in English in 2010. She is the communications director for the KU Biodiversity Institute. Jessica is a 1990 Lawrence High School alumna and graduated from KU in 1995 with a degree in English. She is employed at Growing for Market magazine. The couple, who farm and reside
in Douglas County, plan a May reception.
