Kate E. Harper and Ryan J. Guffey united their lives in marriage on October 12th, 2013 at Abe and Jake’s Landing in Lawrence, with Rev. Carmen Hocking officiating. A reception was held there immediately following.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Liz Harper, of Perry, KS. The groom is the son of Jim and Mary Guffey, of Perry, KS. The matron of honor was Sara Dreher, sister of the bride. Attendants were Bridget Guffey-Acker and Kelci Bouray. The best man was Jim Guffey, father of the groom. Groomsman were Steven Morrison and Logan
Hurd.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Perry-Lecompton High School. She graduated from the University of Kansas in 2007 and Baker School of Nursing in 2012. She is currently employed as a registered nurse at Lawrence
Memorial Hospital. The groom is a 2005 graduate of Perry-Lecompton High School. He works for New Earth Lawn and Landscape and also works as a professional waterfowl hunting guide in central and northeast Kansas. The couple reside in Lawrence.
