Jeannie Burkhead, Pequot Lakes, Minn., and Jeff Burkhead, Eldon, Mo., along with Stephanie and Craig Combs, Salina, announce the engagement of their children, Carrie Burkhead and Tyson Combs, both of Lawrence.
The future bride is a 2006 graduate of Emporia High School and is earning an early childhood development degree from Kansas University. She is employed at Hilltop Child Development at KU.
The future groom is a 2002 graduate of Salina South High School. He earned bachelor’s degrees in communication and psychology from KU in 2008 and is a financial advisor at Axa Equitable in Overland Park.
The couple plan a Jan. 7, 2012, wedding in Kansas City, Mo.
