Jardon
Norma and Marvin Jardon, Baldwin City, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Friday with friends and family.
Norma Brecheisen and Marvin Jardon were married June 17, 1951, at Clearfield United Methodist Church in Eudora.
Marvin worked for his parents at Baldwin Junction until 1958, when he then took over the family business. He was appointed postmaster of Baldwin City in June 1968. He worked at the Baldwin Post Office until retiring in January 1991. Marvin is past state commander of the American Legion, past state Chef de Gare 40&8, and past state president League of Postmaster. He also is involved with Rotary, Santa Fe Trail Historical Society and the Baldwin Golf Association. Norma is a homemaker and enjoys cooking, quilting and golfing.
They have two granddaughters, Sara Stotts, Boulder, Colo., and Amy Peters, Westerville, Ohio. Their daughter, Kathy Jardon, preceded them in death in 2006.
The couple requests no gifts.
