Maurer and Maurer
Juliann Drumm Mitchell and Erik Charles Maurer, both of Jacksonville, Fla., were married May 1, 2010, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lawrence, with the Revs. Paul McLain III and Michael Tierney officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Julie Motley Mitchell, Lawrence, and the late Jackson Churchill Mitchell.
The groom is the son of Gary and Jane Maurer, Medina, Ohio.
Maid of honor was Megan Dambro. Best man was David Maurer. Bridesmaids were Leah Darby, Renee Petrik, Holly Motley, Angela Johnson and Sarah Jeanne Mitchell. Groomsmen were Marc Kudley, Jack Mitchell II, Benjamin Rivet, John Paluga, Martin Ginnan and Jordan Mitchell. Honorary groomsman was Charles Maurer. Keeper of the petals was Kylie Motley. Bearer of the rings was Caeden Motley. Keeper of the heralders was Tierney Motley.
Program attendants were Adrienne Dopf and Melissa Kudley. Prayers were given by Rex Horning. Readings were recited by the Rev. Michael Tierney and Gary Maurer. Organist was Elizabeth Stephens. Personal attendants were Ashley Winters and Kelli Berry-Szrot. Honorary Mitchell family member was Herminia Zavala. Vocalist was Leah Darby. A special tribute for the late Jackson Churchill Mitchell was given by his sons, Jack Mitchell II and Jordan Mitchell.
A reception was given at the Evan Williams Estate in Lawrence.
The bride graduated from Wellington High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from Kansas University in 2000 and a master’s degree in community health from KU in 2004. She became a Certified Health Education Specialist in February. She is a health program coordinator for Northrup Grumman in St. Augustine, Fla.
The groom graduated from Medina High School in 1998. He earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology from Ohio State University in 2003 and is a banker with Bank of America in Jacksonville.
The couple reside in Jacksonville.
