Emmett and Carol Morley, Lee’s Summit, Mo., along with David and Carol Cobb, and Deena and Mark Shipley, all of Lawrence, announce the engagement of their children, Lauren Morley, Overland Park, to Mike Cobb, Lawrence.
The future bride earned bachelor’s degrees in psychology and studio art from Baker University and a master’s degree in art therapy from Emporia State University. She is the education support specialist at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
The future groom earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and English from Baker University and works for the Lawrence Police Department.
The couple plan a Nov. 7, 2009, wedding at Danforth Chapel at Kansas University.
