Curtis and Paula Baum along with Clancy Schmidt and Sherry Vratil announce the engagement of their children, Jennifer Baum and Scott Schmidt, all of Lawrence.
The future bride is a 2000 graduate of Lawrence High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Baker University in 2005 and a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Union College in 2008. She is a physician assistant in the emergency department at Stormont Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka.
The future groom is a 1998 graduate of Lawrence High and is attending Washburn University’s School of Education.
The couple plan an October 2009 wedding at Mildale Farm in Edgerton.
