Scott and Michele High, Bertrand, Neb., announce the engagement of their daughter, Monica High, to Curtis Ledbetter, both of Lincoln, Neb.
The future bride is a graduate of Bertrand High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is an assistant store leader at Scheels in Lincoln.
The future groom is the son of Calvin and Karen Ledbetter, Lawrence. He is a graduate of Lawrence High School, a 2005 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and is the director of baseball operations for the university.
The couple plan an Oct. 3, 2009, wedding in Lincoln.
