Audra Dawn Duggins and Heath Alan Downing, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement.
The future bride is the daughter of Lenora Brown, Lawrence, and the late Dale Duggins. She is a graduate of Free State High School and is studying for a hospitality degree with an emphasis in event planning.
The future groom is the son of Dailen and Sherry Downing, Lawrence. He is a graduate of Lawrence High School and plans to earn a degree in music.
The couple plan an Aug. 7, 2009, wedding at Mustard Seed Church in Lawrence.
