Cassandra Strickland and Shawn Nairn, both of Lawrence, were married July 17, 2009, at a friend’s home in Basehor, with the Rev. Bob Leiste officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Randy Strickland and Julie Manweiler, both of Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Doug and Sheree Nairn, Lawrence.
Maid of honor was Kayla Turner. Best man was Chris Meyer. Usher was Adam Strickland.
A reception followed at the friend’s home.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Lawrence High School and earned a medical assisting certificate in 2005 from Pinnacle Career Institute. She is a stay-at-home mom.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Lawrence High and is studying computer information systems at Johnson County Community College. He is a network technician at Fundamental Technologies, LLC in Lawrence.
The couple reside in Lawrence.
