Mandie Markley, Ottawa, and Justin Tucker, Oskaloosa, announce their engagement.
The future bride is the daughter of Arnold and Kathleen Markley, Ottawa. She is a 1997 graduate of Lawrence High School and earned an associate degree in nursing from Neosho County Community College. She is employed by Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
The future groom is the son of Connie Tucker Milner, Oskaloosa, and the late Lyle Tucker. He is a 1994 graduate of Oskaloosa High School and is employed by Westar Energy in Lawrence.
The couple plan a Sept. 19, 2009, wedding in Eureka Springs, Ark.
