Creasey-Laster
Ken Creasey, Lawrence, and Mary Ann Downing, Colby, announce the engagement of their daughter, Leigh Ann Creasey, Lawrence, to James Edward Laster Jr., Denver.
The future bride is a 1999 graduate of Lawrence High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in communications from Kansas University in 2003. She is the manager of the Taco John’s restaurant on 23rd Street in Lawrence.
The future groom is the son of Kristina Laster, Largo, Fla., and the late James Edward Laster. He is a 1998 graduate of Overland High School, Aurora, Colo., and earned a bachelor’s degree in aviation technology at The Metropolitan State College of Denver in 2005. He is an aviation product support specialist at Garmin in Olathe.
The couple plan an Oct. 24, 2009, wedding at Stony Point Hall in Baldwin City.
