Jessica Virtue and Christopher Veit were married Oct. 20, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence, with the Rev. Gary Teske officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Rick Virtue and Linda Gilstrap, both of Lawrence. The groom is the son of Albert Veit, St. Thomas, Mo., and Pamela Veit, Merriam.
Maid of honor was Rebecca Wright. Best man was Jerry Pauly. Bridesmaids were Kate Eichten, Eva Chevreux and Aly Brinkema. Groomsmen were Michael Graber, Austin Wagner and Bryon Virtue.
Flower girl was Justyna Harris. Ring bearer was Ashton Harris. Candlelighters were Bryanna Gilstrap and Claire Schanzmeyer. Ushers were James Dawkins, Dan Brown, Jimmy Niekamp and Kevin Burg. Readers were Cathy Davis and Meleah Hobert.
A reception was given at Abe & Jake’s Landing.
Jessica graduated from Free State High School in 2001. She received a Bachelor of Science in journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies from Kansas University in 2006. She is employed in the Operations Excellence Department at Applebee’s International in Overland Park.
Christopher graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School in 2000. He received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from KU in 2005. He is employed as an engineer at Kennedy/Jenks Consultants in Mission.
The couple reside in Lawrence.
