Jill Richter and Justin Whitney were married Aug. 12, 2006, at First United Methodist Church in Lawrence, with the Rev. Tom Brady officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Ron and Sheryl Richter, Green. The groom is the son of Wayne and Judy Whitney, Lawrence.
Maid of honor was Jamie Richter. Bridesmaids were Angie Kunze, Colby Wiese, Heather Sesma, Elena Detrixhe, Nicole Howard, Mollie Kehr, Ellen Johnston and Jaysa Nichols.
Best man was Ty Gittins. Groomsmen were Dustin Richter, Mike Hannah, Kurt Everett, Andy Liu, Travis Copus, Coleman File, Jay Byrnes and Brent Dressen. The usher was Art Sesma.
Vocalists were Art and Heather Sesma. Flower girls were Carly Kolle and Kara Smith. Ring bearer was Jake Smith. Candle lighters were Kyle Kolle and Brooke Richter.
A reception and dance were held at Abe and Jake’s Landing.
The bride is a graduate of Blue Valley High School and received a degree in nursing from Kansas University. She works as a labor and delivery nurse at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
The groom is a graduate of Lawrence High School and received accounting and business degrees from KU. He will graduate from Washburn Law School in 2007.
The couple resides in Lawrence.
