COVID-19 vaccinations to be offered at county fair

To help boost Douglas County’s vaccination rate, the Douglas County Fair Board, the local health department and the Douglas County Community Foundation will be sponsoring a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the county fair later this month.

Margaret Kalb, Douglas County Fair Board executive secretary, said the clinic would be held July 26, 27 and 28 in the Dreher Building at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, 2120 Harper St. Shots will be given from 5 to 8 p.m. each day.

Kalb said there will also be rewards for the first 60 people to be vaccinated each day. She said they will get a choice between free tickets to the Bull Bash on Saturday, July 31, in the Outdoor Arena or a wristband that will be good for one night of free rides at the fair’s carnival.
