Abortion debate focuses on Sebelius

In a column published in Monday's Washington Post, [Robert Novak takes aim at the pro-choice views of Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius][1] and how it might affect her chances of becoming Sen. Barack Obama's vice presidential running mate.Novak's harsh assessment, however, may be a positive thing for Sebelius [according to Washington Post political blogger Chris Cillizza][2] who said the Novak column raises Sebelius' national profile and "affirms her Democratic bona fides."On Wednesday, [Los Angeles Times columnist Tim Rutten joined the conversation][3], calling the Novak column "an absurd attack on a Democratic rising star."
