A Picture Perfect Father’s Day

Father’s Day is next weekend.
Most likely you knew that.

At my house, we don’t make a lot of fuss over Father’s Day and Mother’s Day. We don’t buy big fancy gifts…and I don’t think we’ve ever even gone out to eat.

This year, however, my husband did make a request for Father’s Day and it’s reasonable, and I’m trying to oblige. He would like me to make a dent in the many, many digital files of photographs that we have. He would like to see them in print. He would like for us to actually take a step towards filling that big empty wall in our living room with our beautiful memories.

I take thousands of pictures. No exaggeration. I’ve always taken a lot, but since I’ve discovered the actual art of photography it has gotten much, much worse. Thousands of pictures sit in digital files on my computer and my extra hard drive.

Here are a couple of photo deals that I plan to use to help with this project, I’m sure there will be more to come over the next several weeks:

Shutterfly:

– Through today you can get $10 off of a $10 order by using the code: SHARE10 at checkout.
– Get a FREE Father’s Day card (5×7 greeting card or 5×7 or 5×5 stationery card). Use code FREE4U at checkout.

Snapfish also has one free greeting card when you use the code ONEFREECARD at checkout.

Living Social has a deal for a 16″ x 20″ canvas wrapped print for $29. There are a variety of other sizes available for slightly higher prices but they are still a great deal. You will have to pay sales tax and shipping for your print. I’m especially excited about this because I’ve got one picture in particular we’ve been wanting to put up.

If you are looking for deals to just print off photos to fill your photo albums I would keep an eye on Walgreens and Target. They frequently run deals for inexpensive prints that you can pick up in store, especially after holidays!
