Coupon for Girls’ Night Out

I’m making plans with my friend, Karen, to go see the Sex and the City 2 movie when it comes out later this month. Both of us are huge fans of the series but were disappointed in the first motion picture that came out in 2008. Karen and I feel some of the characteristics that were so relevant and relatable in the original series were not apparent in the movie.

But regardless of our reaction to the first movie, we are greatly anticipating the second.

For several years, my husband, Dennis, has been giving me the series dvds as gifts for birthdays, Mother’s Day, etc. I can tell you that I have spent hours with these dvds on rainy days or when I have the house to myself and just watch each season. Sometimes I’ll watch it when I’m missing my longtime girlfriends whom I’ve had to leave behind when we’ve moved. I love this show.

At this point I have received the entire series except for season 6, part two.

Dennis and I happened were at Costco, and I don’t know about you, but when I’m there I have a tendency to browse through the whole store even though I go in with a list. And while I was looking at a beverage decanter (that wasn’t on my list) that would be awesome for the Sangria I’m serving at an upcoming party, Dennis found season 6 part two of the Sex and the City series while he was browsing through the books and movies. Costco’s price was $12.99 and included a $7.50 coupon off one admission for the new Sex and the City 2 movie.

Well, I know what I’ll be doing this week when everyone’s in bed asleep. I’ll be curled up on the couch watching my season 6, part two Sex and the City dvd.
