I don't need the majority of the items I "bought" ...but I know that The Shelter does! I will be posting at SuperJenn this week with pictures of my donations.

Target

Leap Frog books for Tag and Tag Jr. are all on sale for $9.99. You can print $4, $3, and $2/1 coupons for these and get them as low as $5.99. I have found that WalMart has a wider selection of these books...and will price match. If you know any little ones who have the Tag Reader or Tag Jr. , it might be worth stocking up now and having some gifts on hand throughout the year.

Triaminic children's cold medicines are $4.49 each. Use either the $3/1 or $2/1 coupons from the 12-06 SmartSource and get them for as low as $1.50 each.

5lb boxes of Cuties are still on sale for $4.99. Use the $1/1 coupon from the 12-06 Smart Source and get them for $3.99. My kids can't get enough of these...and eat at least 2 every time they have some...I'm thankful for the continued sale!

Duraflame Logs 6pk are $14/each. Visit Duraflame and register with them to receive a $5/1 coupon making these $11 for a 6pk. These are great starters for the fire....and if you aren't lucky enough to have a handy man like mine around who cuts your firewood for you... this is a great way to enjoy a warm fire with all of this snow outside.

SmartOnes frozen meals and desserts are $1.89 each. When you buy 10 you will receive a $5 gift card to use on your next purchase. Visit the Smart Ones website and print a $1/5 coupon or find one in the January issue of All You Magazine. Go HERE and register for a $3/10 coupon. re P&G sale...did you factor in the extra cost of the 10 papers to your savings?

The .50 coupon for angel soft toilet paper is only good for 12 double roll or larger package. Those cost more than $1.30.
This is a manufacturer's coupon, so would be good anywhere. Twice recently Walgreen's has run 12 double roll packs for $5.00 and $5.49. That is a good deal, maybe they or some other store will do that again before coupon expires in March.

wow thanks. this is the worst article. who wants to spend their day reading this and trying to figure out what it says then peicing together their coupons in line only to walk into the bitter cold? not i. but then again, any frozen meals on sale will do just fine outside and will probably stay frozen until forever

There are articles and blogs that many do not want to read. It isn't difficult to tell if it is one you want to or not. We get that there are people who either do not understand the idea, hate coupons or are just to lazy to do it themselves. Fair enough. No one is telling you to read the blogs or do couponing so what is your point other than harassment? If you choose to pay full price for groceries no one is stopping you. Feel free to pay the higher price and in some cases more sales tax.

As for cost, I spent around $280 per year to coupon. That money is made up in about 2 months depending on what I buy, leaving savings for the other 10 months. That is just buying for myself. If I were buying for a whole family the savings would make up for the expenses much quicker and the savings after the expenses would be even greater.

does anyone know why p and g saver, that you download to your dillons card, doesn't work anymore?

  6. SuperJenn (Jenn Hethcoat) says…

catbird - I have a line item in my budget that covers the cost of papers, coupons, ink and paper for my printer. I consider all of this when I figure my savings. I actually bought the extra 10 after my first trip to the store. Even if I had... I saved over $400 on that trip! $12.50 in papers becomes inconsequential :)

  7. SuperJenn (Jenn Hethcoat) says…

madman - PGeSaver ended it's program with Kroger at the end of the year. Terribly unfortunate! You can still load coupons to your Dillons card at cellfire.com, shortcuts.com and now directly from the Dillons website.

Thanks for writing this, very helpful information! Love the links to printables-

Hey, I think this is valuable info. I had a little trip to Dillon's yesterday. The total came to $33.43. I used 7 coupons and saved $12.28. For about ten minute's worth of work. I don't usually make over $70 an hour working, so for me the little effort is huge to save that amount.

ozmaster2 - Well done! Always nice when you see those numbers add up...right? Glad you find it helpful!
