Here I Go on One of My Tangents
I have a tendency to go off on tangents. My tangents aren’t always verbal either. Most recently, I’ve been on a fish kick. This week I went to McDonald’s and had a filet-o-fish (don’t sneer, we live in Kansas). Later I asked my husband to pick up catfish at Checkers after work one night. Earlier in the week, I made tilapia for dinner. And not too long ago, we had a date night at Anglers. You see what I mean?
That leads me to this week’s Aldi ad. It’s like a seafood extravaganza.
I have not tried this Sea Queen brand, but I think it might be worth a look. The wide variety includes raw and cooked shrimp from $3.49 for a 12 ounce package to $6.99 for extra jumbo 16 ounce package. Crab legs (16 oz pkg) for $9.99. Crab cakes ($3.99/6 oz), mussels ($2.99/14-16 oz), sea scallops ($6.99/16 oz), perch fillets, flounder, salmon and catfish ($3.99 ea/16 oz). Also at Aldi you can find .29 cent grapefruits, red and green grapes for .79/lb, bananas for .39/lb, and pineapple for $1.99 each.
So out of curiosity, I decided to look at Checkers on line ad. They, too, are featuring a large variety of seafood on ad through March 2. Here you can find butterflied shrimp (3/$10 – 10 oz pkg), wild salmon fillets ($2.88/lb), mussels ($4.88/2 lb bag), pollock fillets ($7.98/2 lb bag), bay scallops ($4.48/1 lb bag), crab legs ($19.76/2 lb bag), catfish fillets ($15.96/4 lb box).

On another note, check out Target’s Room Essentials brand. Home goods at great prices. This line carries products like towels, sheets, lamps, dishes, accessories, etc. And you all know, I love accessories at reasonable prices – great way to change things up at home for little cost.
Think spring everyone; it can’t be too far away!!
