Coupon Deals Can Be Found Outside of Sunday Paper

On Sundays, Jenn and I write blogs on LJWorld.com about coupons and sale ads we find in the paper. But you don’t have to wait for Sunday for the newspaper inserts to find coupons and sale notices. Jenn and I also watch national retailers that advertise, and we look at the Wednesday grocery ads for the best deals.

In Monday’s Journal-World Go! section, I decided to take a closer look at what I just might find. Local merchants have listed coupons in this section. For example, $5 off at Checkers with a $40 purchase; Jade Garden $10.99 for 2 combo meals; Closet to Closet is offering 50 percent off 1 item with the mention of their ad; A+ Auto & Tire has an oil change coupon for $15.95. Also, local retailers were advertising winter clearance sales – up to 50 percent off.

My point is, Sunday is not the only day to find sales and coupons. Jenn is constantly letting us know about printable coupons she finds online. All You magazine is another source for coupons. I have also been seeing more make up coupons in my magazines. Recently, I received a useful collection of coupons from Dillons in the mail. These appear to be based on my previous purchases, because the coupons are for items I use.

Another source is the back of cash register receipts. Last week at CVS I purchased some cold medication, and when I checked out, a whole line of coupons printed out along with my receipt. I love when that happens. It’s like an unexpected gift.

So, keep your eyes open to different sources of obtaining coupons. You may be surprised to find where they turn up. In the meantime, Jenn and I will continue to help bring these sources your way. We always appreciate hearing where you are finding your deals.
