As you know, Jenn and Julie, better known on the North Pole as “Santa’s Coupon 1. _ _ _ _ _ _,” have been on their holiday adventure for the past few weeks. Last week, Santa sent them on a special mission. Just when they thought things were winding down, Jenn and Julie received word that their shopping prowess was further required by St. Nick. Their women’s 2. _ _ _ _ _ _ told them this was going to be an important request, because Santa sent his fastest reindeer, 3. _ _ _ _ _ _, as his messenger.

They would come to find that Santa had something different in mind than shopping for material things. They were shopping for good deeds being performed in Lawrence. It didn’t take long for Jenn and Julie to learn how generous their community has been, especially during the holidays, leaving many 4. _ _ _ _ _ _. There had been The Festival of Trees, which raised money for The Shelter Inc. Red Dog’s Jingle Jog collected donations for the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence and Ballard Community Services. We found the Adopt-A-Family and Adopt-A-Grandparent programs, and the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign. This is only a sampling of what this fine community has been doing to help.
