So, today is CASA Family Day, which encourages families to eat dinner together. CASA, the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University does Family Day to encourage parents to talk to their kids about substance abuse. A study by CASA says kids who eat dinner with their family are less likely to use alcohol, tobacco and marijuana.Until I left for college, my family ate dinner together at least 5 nights a week.
