Man rushed to KC area hospital after reported stabbing

Douglas County authorities are investigating after a man was stabbed late Thursday.

At 11:35 p.m., Eudora Police and Fire Medical crews were called to the Grandview Mobile Home Park, 510 E. 10th Street in Eudora. There officers located a man with a chest laceration. He claimed that an ex-girlfriend had cut him inside her Lawrence home and he drove himself to Eudora.

Lawrence Police were sent to the Brookwood Mobile Home Park, 1908 E. 19th Street, where they were able to contact the alleged suspect.

Medics reported the victim’s injury to be critical and he was rushed to Overland Park Regional Medical Center. The victim has only been described as a, 44-year-old, man with a laceration to the left side of his chest.

Police continue to investigate the incident and have transported the alleged suspect to the Investigations and Training Center for questioning.

No other details were immediately available.
