A source familiar with the investigation tells Operation 100 News that a 40-year-old man was “exposed to an unknown chemical in his home.” The man left his home to find help after he began experiencing symptoms of chemical exposure. His symptoms are said to include red eyes, face and nose.

At 3:20 a.m., the man was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for further treatment. Lawrence Police also requested that the on-call Animal Control Officer be dispatched to the scene to remove at least one dog from the duplex.

At least three fire crews, two medic units, two LDCFM chiefs and Lawrence Police were on the Crestline Court scene. There have been no other injuries reported and no word of any evacuations.
