September 27th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

At 1:52, Lawrence Police were called to the 1300 block of Louisiana Street for a female reporting that she had been “pushed to the ground” by a group of men. The alleged suspects were reported to have fled in a vehicle, and the victim was able to tell dispatchers the license number of that vehicle. Officers reported locating that suspect vehicle, with a matching license plate, about three minutes later at 23rd and Massachusetts Streets. It was not clear if the female knew the men or if it was a random act. No injuries were reported and as of this report, no arrests have been recorded.

Just after 2 a.m., Douglas County Deputies reported a vehicle stop in the 2500 block of W 6th Street in Lawrence. Deputies arrested the driver, who now faces a DWI charge.

Officers responded on another reported battery in the 1300 block of Kentucky Street at 2:58 a.m.. Again, no injuries were reported .

At 4:40, Police responded with Fire Medical a medical emergency in the 1600 block of Haskell Avenue. While on scene, officers learned that the subject had two municipal warrants for his arrest. The subject was transported to LMH by medics. Douglas County Booking records show that the subject was arrested about 20 minutes after the medical emergency call was dispatched. Records also show that the subject has made bail this morning.

None of this morning’s activity was reported to have involved any serious injuries.
