September 10th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up
At 2:11, Lawrence Police were called to check on two subjects who were seen in a backyard in the 700 block of Maple Street. A caller reported two men possibly attempting to break into a shed, the two then jumped a fence into a neighboring yard. The caller did not report seeing any vehicles in the area. Four officers responded to check the area. No subjects were located.
At 2:13, Police were called to the 200 block of McDonald Drive after after someone broke out a window near the front door of a business. The business was open at the time and there were no reports of any injuries or arrests.
At 3:12, Officers were called to investigate reports of several gunshots heard in the area of the 3100 block of W 28th Street. One caller reported hearing around five pops, which the caller believed to be gunshots. A few minutes after that, another caller reported hearing the same thing in the 2900 block of Pebble Lane. Officers checked both areas and did not report locating any damage or possible suspects.
At 6:13, Police along with Fire/Medical were called to the intersection of 6th and Monterey Way for an injury accident. Officers arrived on scene to report a two vehicles with moderate damage. Medics treated one person for what were described as minor injuries. That woman was transported by medics to LMH for further treatment.
None of this morning's activity was reported to have involved any serious injuries.
