October 26th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Lawrence Police responded on two disturbances this morning before 5 a.m.. None involving any serious injuries or arrests.

Douglas County Deputies reported making an arrest near mile marker 390 on Highway 24. The subject was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Shawnee County, and now also faces a charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Just before 5:40 Douglas County Deputies and Fire Medical crews responded on a single vehicle, rollover accident near mile marker 378 on Highway 40, or approximately one mile west of the South Lawrence Trafficway. Deputies arrived at the scene to report one vehicle was on it’s top in the ditch. The driver of the vehicle was said to be out of the vehicle and “staggering around”. Medics reported the driver’s injuries to be minor.

None of this morning’s activity was reported to have involved any serious injuries.
