
October 13th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up
Police in Lawrence responded on nine disturbances this morning. None of which were said to involve the use of any weapons. No serious injuries were reported.
Medics responded on numerous medical emergencies across town throughout the morning.
Westar Energy crews were kept busy following this morning’s storm. At 1:40, Westar’s website was showing 178 customers without electricity. Most of those were on the northwest side of Lawrence, with a few scattered outages to the southwest of Lawrence around Clinton lake and Lone Star Park. Outage numbers held fairly steady at 178 until around 4 a.m. when the number jumped up to 185. Service was fully restored to all customers just before 5:30.
