Lawrence Police conducted at least seven vehicle stops this morning, one resulting in an OUI arrest, and another resulting in a DWI arrest. KUPD also conducted a few vehicle stops, with one resulting in an OUI arrest.
Officers also responded on four disturbances. Most were fairly average early Sunday morning scuffles and disputes. One of the domestic disturbances, reported at 3:08 a.m., was said to be a domestic disturbance involving the female caller's husband and boyfriend physically fighting. The fight had broken up before Police were called and the boyfriend had already left for his residence. No serious injuries were reported in any of this morning's disturbances.
Just after 5:30 a.m., Deputies were dispatched on a minor injury, rollover accident in the 400 block of E 2200 Road. One vehicle left the roadway and overturned. The driver of the vehicle was the only occupant and according to medics, he sustained a minor foot injury. As of this report, Deputies are still on that scene with the man and his vehicle. Initial reports were that the man was "disoriented." It was not immediately clear if Deputies believed alcohol played a role in the accident.
