May 21st Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Officers in Lawrence responded on only two disturbances this morning. One was reported to be domestic, no serious injuries or arrests were reported.

Police were called to investigate an injury accident in the 1300 block of W 6th Street. Officers arrived to find a single vehicle accident involving a utility pole. Fire/Medical reported that a female was outside of the vehicle lying on the ground when they arrived. That woman's injuries were said to be serious and she was transported to LMH for treatment. Police received a report that a male had ran from the vehicle prior to their arrival at the scene. Officers searched the area and were able to locate one slipper, which they seemed to believe belonged to the man. As of this report, Police have not located that man but, they do know who they are looking for and are aware that he has an active warrant for his arrest. The female injured in the accident was unable to tell Police and Fire/Medical who was driving. Police continue to investigate.
