Lawrence Police conducted right around 10 vehicle stops this morning, none of those resulted in any arrests. One of this morning's pedestrian checks lead to an arrest for an out of state warrant. That wanted person was booked into the Douglas County Jail to await extradition and is being held without bond.
Officers also investigated after spotting fireworks in the 400 block of N 4th Street.
LDCFM and LPD responded on two medical emergencies.
None of this morning's activity was reported to have resulted in any serious injuries.
The National Weather Service Office in Topeka has issued an Extreme Heat Warning which will go into effect today at noon and will remain in place until 8 p.m., Friday. More on this Warning can be found here from the National Weather Service.
