Lawrence Police conducted four vehicle stops this morning, one of those resulting in an OUI related arrest. The Kansas Highway Patrol was also in Lawrence this morning and conducted two vehicle stops, one resulting in a DWI and Open Container arrest. Scanner traffic on the KHP arrest also sounded like this arrest will be the driver's third DWI offense.
Around 3:30 a.m., Police were called to the 1400 block of Marilee Drive after receiving a report of possible gunshots heard in the area. The caller reported five "pops" a pause and then three more "pops." Officers responded to the area and located a disturbance in front of an address. Those officers reported that they did not believe to sounds the caller heard to be gunshots. No injuries were reported in the disturbance.
Officers also received information on a burglary and responded on a noise complaint.
