Shortly after 2 a.m. Douglas County Deputies caught up with a Lawrence man that was reportedly involved in a hit and run accident in the county. He was also found to be driving while intoxicated. The man was arrested and booked into jail.

At 2:13 a.m. Lawrence Police stopped a vehicle in the 900 block of Iowa after witnessing the vehicle “swerving”. Officers conducted field sobriety tests and determined the driver to be driving while intoxicated and was also arrested.

Police in Lawrence conducted a few vehicle stops, residence checks and responded on two alarms.
