January 16th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

A fairly normal early Monday morning for Law Enforcement in Douglas County.

KU Police seemed to be investigating some political graffiti after 2 a.m. this morning. There was talk of spray paint and a political candidate's name. Very few details were available at the time. I am sure there will be more of this from the Lawrence Journal-World should there be any details worthy of reporting.

Police in Lawrence made an arrest related to a criminal damage to property in the 1300 block of Pennsylvania Street that occurred at 2:24 a.m..

Officers also conducted a few vehicle stops and responded with LDCFM on four medical emergencies.

The activity blogged here is only a sampling of some of the things that Douglas County Law Enforcement and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical respond on. To see a complete list of Lawrence Police activity, the department has that available on their website along with several easy to use maps that show approximate locations for Police activity.

Some of the activity blogged above was reported as it was unfolding by Operation 100 News. Learn how to receive breaking news updates here.
