At 12:31 a.m. Lawrence Police were called out on a Strong Armed Robbery, meaning the suspect used physical force instead of a weapon. Very few details were given over the radio. LPD's call log shows nine units committed to the call. No injuries were reported. More information on the call can be found here from the Lawrence Journal-World.

At 12:54 a.m. Police were called to the 400 block of Nebraska to investigate a report of gunshots heard in the area. It was unclear if anyone was located in connection to the shots. No injuries were reported.

The rest of the morning was fairly routine for Police. A few medical emergencies, false alarms and one disturbance. No serious injuries were reported with any of this morning's activity.

The activity blogged here is only a sampling of some of the things that Douglas County Law Enforcement and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical respond on. To see a complete list of Lawrence Police activity, the department has that available on their website along with several easy to use maps that show approximate locations for Police activity.

This continues to be the most worthless section of the paper. Mike reports very few things and when he does he can't even provide worthwhile details.

Today's example... "LPD's call log shows an address in the 100 block of E 11th Street " Hey genius, the police department is located there.... they probably walked in.
