February 9th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

At 2:40 a.m., LDCFM and police were called to the 1700 block of W 24th Street to investigate a report of a sparking electrical outlet with an electrical odor. Fire crews arrived on scene about four minutes later and reported that there was nothing showing from the three story apartment building. Crews were able to shut off the power to the apartment where the problem was reported. No fire was found and no injuries were reported.

The address on W 24th Street is the same address which fire crews also responded to twice early Wednesday morning. The first response was for a smoke odor, which was believed to be cooking related. The second response was for a fire alarm sounding. The alarm was determined to be false.

This morning, Police also responded on two burglary alarms and two noise complaints. Officers also conducted two pedestrian checks and one vehicle stop.

None of this mornings activity involved the use of any weapons or resulted in any serious injuries.
