February 18th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Lawrence Police were kept pretty busy this morning with six disturbance calls.

One of the disturbances reportedly involved a male with a knife. Earlier in the night the male reportedly had displayed the knife and threatened another person at the address and used the knife to “slash” some pillows in the residence. By the time the victim called Police, the suspect had gone to bed. Police arrived and arrested the male suspect for Domestic Battery and Criminal Damage, among other charges. No injuries were reported.

Two other disturbances also resulted in suspects being arrested on Battery charges.

At 3:20 a.m., Police responded on a minor injury accident at W 6th and Vermont Streets. LDCFM also responded, however no one was transported by Medics to the hospital. One person was taken into custody for DUI related charges.

Police in Lawrence also responded on several noise complaints. None of this morning’s activity resulted in any serious injuries.
