Just before 2 a.m., Police were called to an address in the 3400 block of Morning Dove Circle on a report of two men believed to be looking for vehicles to burglarize. The caller told dispatchers that the men were last seen about eight minutes ago and were walking southbound. They were only described as males dressed in all dark clothing. Police searched the area and were not able to locate any damage or the men.
Lawrence Police conducted six vehicle stops this morning, one resulting in an OUI related arrest.
Officers also received information on trespassing and possible attempted burglary at an address in the 2400 block of Ridge Court just after 7 a.m.. The caller reported finding an unknown male sleeping in the backyard. When the man awoke, he reportedly tried to open the backdoor of the address. The door was locked so the man's attempt to enter was unsuccessful. The man was last seen walking eastbound from the address.
None of this morning's activity was reported to have involved any serious injuries.
