August 13th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Lawrence Police conducted five vehicle stops this morning, one of which resulted in an OUI related arrest. Officers also recorded one arrest related to a domestic disturbance, which occurred around 6:15 a.m..

Officers were called to an address in the 3600 block of Clinton Parkway around 2:50 a.m., on reports of a possible burglary. The caller believed that she was hearing someone inside the address. Officers did not report any signs of forced entry and did not contact anyone, other than the caller, related to the incident.

Police also checked on several noise complaints, mostly loud music complaints.

Lawrence Police also responded on what was initially reported as a non-injury accident near the intersection of 23rd and Harper Streets just after 7:40 a.m.. Once Police arrived on scene they requested Fire/Medical respond for two people with injuries. Officers reported one person with a head laceration and another with minor abdominal pains. Fire/Medical responded and reported a two vehicles with moderate damage. The subject with the head laceration was said to have serious injuries, the other person’s injuries were said to be minor.
