April 8th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

A quiet Easter morning in Douglas County.

Police responded on five disturbances, only one of which was reported to be domestic related. One disorderly conduct arrest was made just before 2:30 a.m.. Lawrence Officers also conducted 14 vehicle stops.

KUPD conducted a few vehicle stops of their own, with one resulting in an OUI related arrest of a 20-year-old, KU running back.

Officers investigated one non-injury accident just after 2 a.m., in the 900 block of Missouri.

LDCFM and LPD were called to the 1600 block of W 23rd Street around 3:15 a.m., for a dumpster fire. Fire crews arrived on scene and reported the dumpster was fully involved. The fire was quickly extinguished.

None of this morning’s activity was reported to have resulted in any serious injuries.
