April 21st Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Police in Lawrence responded on three disturbances this morning, one was reported to be domestic related. One arrest was made for domestic battery and another, on a separate disturbance, for criminal damage to property. No serious injuries were reported in any of the disturbances.

Officers also conducted eight vehicle stops with two resulting in OUI arrests.

Lawrence Police also responded on three noise complaints and several burglary alarms this morning.

Friday evening, Kansas Department of Corrections officials confirmed that the last of the four men who escaped in a jail break from the Ottawa County Detention Center had been captured. More on the apprehensions of all four men can be found here from Operation 100 News.

KDOC is still looking for 59-year-old, convicted sex offender, Gary Leslie Furthmyer. Furthmyer escaped from the Lansing Correctional Facility around 3 a.m. Wednesday. More on Gary Leslie Furthmyer’s escape can be found here from Operation 100 News.
