After a busy Tuesday morning, things were considerably quieter this morning.
Lawrence Police responded on a non-injury hit & run accident in the 1300 block of Massachusetts street, shortly after midnight.
Officers also responded on three disturbances and two noise complaints. One of the disturbances resulted in an arrest for Interference and Criminal Damage to Property according to radio traffic. No serious injuries were reported in any of this morning's activity.
Also this morning, Ottawa County authorities are searching for three men who escaped from the Ottawa County Detention Center in Minneapolis, Kansas. The jail break was said to have occurred around 4:45 this morning. The center is located approximately 20 miles north of Salina, Kansas. The Kansas Department of Corrections is also dealing with an escape this morning after a convicted sex offender walked away from a minimum security job assignment at the Lansing Correctional Facility around 3 a.m.. More on this escape can be found here from Operation 100 News.
