April 11th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Another fairly quiet morning in Douglas County.

Lecompton Township fire along with LDCFM and Sheriff’s deputies were called to an injury accident in the 1900 block of E 600 Road shortly after 1 a.m.. Fire personnel arrived on the scene and reported that two vehicles were involved and four people were said to be seriously injured. At least three children were involved in the accident and a woman who was said to be 35-weeks pregnant. None of the injuries were believed to be life threatening.

Back in Lawrence, police responded on two thefts and a non-injury accident. Officers also conducted a couple vehicle stops.

Yesterday, the Lawrence Journal-World followed up on a story first reported in the blog earlier in the morning. 18-year-old Lawrence man accused of making false theft report.
