September 2nd Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Police in Lawrence conducted large number of vehicle stops overnight. Everything from suspicious vehicles, a few wrong way on a one way, intoxicated/reckless complaints and other traffic violations.

Lawrence Police also received information on an alcohol violation early in the night in the Riverfront Plaza area.

The rest of the night was fairly routine, compared to every other night’s calls for service. Noise complaints and disturbances. No serious injuries were reported with any of the overnight activity.

Just after 6 a.m. this morning Police were called to the 400 block of Lincoln Street to investigate a report of several gunshots heard in the area. Police are still in the area checking.

The activity blogged here is only a sampling of some of the things that Douglas County Law Enforcement and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical respond on.
