September 19th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up
A pretty quiet overnight in Douglas county, as most Monday morning’s are.
Lawrence Police responded on the every night noise complaints and disturbances. All of the disturbances, that I heard, did not involve the use of weapons and no injuries were reported.
Police also made a number of vehicle stops and a few DUI arrests as a result.
KDOT is scheduled to begin chip seal work on US 56 today west of US 59 to the Osage County line. There will be lane restrictions and delays are expected. More information on this project.
For those that follow Operation 100 News (@Operation100) on Twitter. I have cut back my hours of posting updates. Previously I was active just over 60 hours a week. That number has been cut back to 45 hours a week. More information on my decision to cut back hours can be found here.
The activity blogged here is only a sampling of some of the things that Douglas County Law Enforcement and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical respond on. To see a complete list of Lawrence Police activity, the department has that available on their website along with several easy to use maps that show approximate locations for Police activity.
