October 8th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

A fairly normal Friday night for Law Enforcement in Douglas County.

Frequent vehicle stops are not out of the ordinary for Police in Lawrence, last night was no exception. Same is the case on weekend nights with alcohol violations and bar checks throughout town.

Police filed a few reports for Indecent exposure, usually ends up being a urinating in public ticket.

A DUI arrest was made in the 700 block of Tennessee Street just after 12:30 a.m. Police reported on the radio that they witnessed that driver being unable to maintain a lane of travel and initiated the traffic stop.

Noise complaints and disturbances were the majority of overnight activity. None of the activity, that I heard involved the use of any weapons or resulted in any serious injuries.

Kansas City, Missouri Police continue to search and ask for the public’s assistance in locating a believed kidnapped 10-month-old girl from her. It is believed that the child was abducted from her bedroom, late Monday night or early Tuesday morning. Investigators did search the Johnson County Landfill on Friday afternoon. More information, updates and photo’s of the child can be found here.
