Police and LDCFM responded on a single vehicle injury accident near 23rd Street and Kentucky Court at 2:13 a.m.. The vehicle, reported to be a pickup truck, crashed into a tree and was heavily damaged. The vehicle was occupied by a male in his late 20's. He was transported to LMH with serious injuries.
Officers received information about a possible burglary in the 800 block of New Hampshire. A caller reported seeing two subjects "force" their way into a building that is under construction. Details beyond that were not available.
Police conducted just one vehicle stop, responded on at least three disturbances and one noise complaint. None of the disturbances involved the use of weapons and other than the already reported injury accident, no serious injuries were reported this morning.
Law Enforcement throughout Kansas is stepping up patrols this holiday weekend (Wednesday-Sunday). More information on this effort can be found here.
